Are you in the Book of Life?
Exodus 32:33 And the Lord said to Moses, “Whoever has sinned against Me, I will blot him out of My book.
But a problem is, the Bible also says, “all have sinned and have fallen short of the glory of God.” So in essence, we all deserve to be blotted out of the Book of Life. But when we turn from sin, believe in the work Jesus did for us on the cross and choose to live for God, we can overcome the world! He becomes our advocate before God and He offers us His righteousness!
2 Corinthians 5:21 God made him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.
Hebrews 7:25 Therefore he is able to save completely those who come to God through him, because he always lives to intercede for them.
Romans 8:4 …Christ Jesus who died—more than that, who was raised to life—is at the right hand of God and is also interceding for us.
Revelation 3 (Jesus said) 5 He who overcomes shall be clothed in white garments, and I will not blot out his name from the Book of Life; but I will confess his name before My Father and before His angels.
John 1 (Speaking of Jesus) 10 He was in the world, and though the world was made through him, the world did not recognize him. 11 He came to that which was his own, but his own did not receive him. 12 Yet to all who did receive him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God— 13 children born not of natural descent, nor of human decision or a husband’s will, but born of God.
Romans 10:12 For there is no difference between Jew and Gentile—the same Lord is Lord of all and richly blesses all who call on him, 13 for, “Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.”
Hebrews 12:22 But you have come to Mount Zion and to the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, to an innumerable company of angels, 23 to the general assembly and church of the firstborn who are registered in heaven, to God the Judge of all, to the spirits of just men made perfect, 24 to Jesus the Mediator of the new covenant... 25 See that you do not refuse Him who speaks. For if they did not escape who refused Him who spoke on earth, much more shall we not escape if we turn away from Him who speaks from heaven... 28 Therefore, since we are receiving a kingdom which cannot be shaken, let us have grace, by which we may serve God acceptably with reverence and godly fear. 29 For our God is a consuming fire.
Revelation 20:11 Then I saw a great white throne and Him who sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away. And there was found no place for them. 12 And I saw the dead, small and great, standing before God, and books were opened. And another book was opened, which is the Book of Life. And the dead were judged according to their works, by the things which were written in the books. 13 The sea gave up the dead who were in it, and Death and Hades delivered up the dead who were in them. And they were judged, each one according to his works. 14 Then Death and Hades were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death. 15 And anyone not found written in the Book of Life was cast into the lake of fire.
Revelation 21 23 The city had no need of the sun or of the moon to shine in it, for the glory of God illuminated it. The Lamb is its light. ...27 But there shall by no means enter it anything that defiles, or causes an abomination or a lie, but only those who are written in the Lamb’s Book of Life.
Seek the Lord while He may be found. Call on Jesus, turn from sin and live for Him. He loves you and gave His life for you! He is faithful and can be trusted! All who call on the Lord will be saved! May we meet one day in that beautiful city of God by His grace!
